Quiet Emotions

Slowly up and slowly down

Enjoying the quiet thrill

Pitter patter

The rain drops fall

As quiet as can be

Some are stopped by branches

Reaching out from within

And stay like clear happy berries

Eyes closed, imagining

The tree spirit coming out

Seeing the little dropsĀ

Shaking them all out

They fell upon her all alone

Well, not alone anymore

The girl of quiet happiness

The girl in a quiet swing

The City Lights

I climbed to the top

The wind blowing in my face

I looked around in the darkness

That hid a very pretty place

The storm was raging high

And the pulled light switch down

The strongest, largest guy

Could not flip the massive switch

But then I volunteered

To give the world its light

And have the darkness cleared

And with brains I could do it

So I brought my thing

My thing-a-magig

Which had major bling

And I fastened it on the switch

And turned it round and round

And I was blinded by the light

That came from the town

The light switch was flipped, hooray

And yet, to this very day

I look upon the town

And think of standing on the tower

And looking down, upon it all

The city lights, that never go away
