The Little Black Bear

Twas the night before Christmas

And the birds were bright

They thought nothing could go wrong on Christmas

But little did they know that deep inside the forest

Man was digging and uprooting the trees

A little black bear saw them

And ran away in fright

For, to her, the lonely spirits deep in the bark

The trees were crying out with all their might

The little black bear with her friends, the grizzly and the polar

Threw the mankind out

Deep into the hole of Tatarus

Until they promised to do right

The men were then kind and tending to their farms

And the women prayed for Mother Earth day and night

The little black bear played with them by day

And watched high atop the trees by night

Smiling to herself, saying she did right

The Flower From Heaven

The first bud  of the spring sprouts gaily from the plant

Just as stars radiate from the night

It stayed there as is for a while

But then came the lone flower

Petals the night and middle the moon

And it glistened in moon and sunlight alike

Until it was gone

On its way to a heaven world

After paving a path many shall follow

My Dragon Life

I leaned over to the side

Gazed at the world around me

I stopped at the little brook

And stretched out my wings

I watched the sun dance in the water

As I took a drink

I took off into the pink sky

Then you saw me clearly

My brilliant red and orange scales, shining in the sun

My colossal, bright red wings, swaying in the wind

My fierce, scarlet claws, skewering mice

My sharp, orange horns, almost like flames themselves

Everyone gasps in awe when they see me

I fly gracefully across the sunset sky

Thinking of lives of simpletons, of mice or humans

But then I push that thought away, happy for my dragon life

My puppy and I

We were running on our way

On a fine fall day

The birds were chirping gaily

And we saw the little ball we play with daily

I stooped down to take it

And then threw it with my mitt

She ran after it happily

And at home she pawed it lazily

She is the best dog I could wish for

Even if all the dogs of the world were lined up at my door

The Sea Otter

He dips and dives like the water itself

He swims and leaps like a ballerina

He eats his food and uses tools like a thinker

He looks and acts like an adorable puppy

He treats his cubs and family as his equals

Teaching and helping them everyday

And he regrets the day they go away

I’d love him and his family as our beloved pets

Who we’d of course treat as family

Cause he is a beautiful sea otter

One Bird, First Flight

As I stepped out of my nest

I wondered what they want

As they nudged me to the edge

I thought I was going to die

But then dad took off

Then I knew

They wanted me to fly

One step, a fall

I flapped my wings and took off

I was flying

As we flew away I looked at my nest and said

Good bye

The Festival of Lights

Look so many lights

Some firecrackers, some diyas, some sparklers

Every house is bright

Everyone is having fun

Some people are watching the firecrackers with neighbors

Some people are playing with sparklers and family

This is so much fun

This is the festival of lights

The Festival of Colors

Look so many colors

Some red, some blue, some green, some pink

Flying through the air

Look so many people

Some drenched, some stained, some both

Everyone is having fun

I’m off to play with my friends

Veda, ha ha ha ha ha

I’ll get you back

This is so fun

This is the festival of colors

Why Does a Fire Glow

Why does the fire glow?

Why do all the plants grow?

Is there something we overlooked?

Hidden away inside a book?

All I have to do is peek in and look

To find the things we overlooked

Why why why why indeed

Find the secret power we need

Why why why why indeed

Find the secret power we need

Why does the fire glow?

Why did evolution grow?

Why did dinosaurs evolve?

Why does the earth revolve?

Why why why why indeed

Find the secret power we need

Why why why why indeed

Find the secret power we need

Why does the fire glow?

Why does the wind blow?

Why did that something burst?

How do I quench my knowledge thirst?

To figure out the secret power

I think and think for many an hour

Why why why why indeed

To find the secret power we need

Why why why why indeed

To find the secret power we need
